Otomi embroidery
My mom brought me back two cute Otomi embroideries from Mexico. They are so colorful. This type of embroidery was developed by the Mexican Otomi Indians drawing inspiration from animals and bold colors. Above is a piece of my new treasure so you can see. I am unsure what I want to do with them.
I was considering framing them. How cute is this vignette?!

I love that this is is all one color.
Or I could venture out and do something like this. The lampshade idea is adorable.
And of course pillows are a very good and easy option to brighten up any sofa or chair.
I will be honest with you. I have been seeing these embroideries since I could remember and never really thought much of them. But after unconsciously seeing them everywhere (is this what the Internet is doing? making everybody like the same things?) I have gotten used to them and actually really love them now. Its as if I am seeing them in a new light or from a new perspective. At least I know I'm in good company when Hermes makes their own version
These embroideries are especially great to add a bit of quirk to a space or for a child's room because of all their color. Do you like them? Which option would you chose?
