Some recipes
Happy Friday! Yeay! I love Fridays. I think everyone does. I wanted to share with you these easy to make and delicious madeleines. You will need the pan to make the shape, but other than that they just have your basic ingredients you usually have on hand. I have this pan. Its a good investment once you try them you its easy to get hooked.
Also, we made sea salt crusted Branzinos (or Mediterranean sea bass as they call it. You can also use red snapper or any similar fish). My mother-in-law and I just winged it since she remembered the recipe from a TV show. I was looking through different recipes online to see if I found something similar, but no luck. So I'm just going to explain it...easy peasy and its so sophisticated. Everyone at your table will be impressed.
Ingredients:
- Calculate one fish per person weighing one pound or right under. Each fish should be cleaned and gutted but with scales on.
- fresh parsley
- rosemary
- olive oil
-Coarse sea salt (you will probably need a box per pan). We fit two fish per pan.
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 F. Pour some salt on the pan, then lay the fish on top. Sprinkle some more salt and then cut some rosemary and parsley to put on top. Sprinkle more salt, and then drizzle some olive oil and finish off with more salt to completely cover the fish. Put in the oven for 30-40 minutes and you are done. The salt crust gets a little hard.
This has to be the easiest recipe ever and SO DELICIOUS!! My advice if you are serving to guests just serve it whole (one fish per person) and have the person at the table do the work of taking the bones out. It makes for fun dinner conversation, promise. If you must have a recipe this one seemed like a good one.
And finally, just wanted to share with you this really simple DIY. I bought this coaster (they were selling them individually at the store. I then just colored the edges with a gold leafing pen. Now I have a very chic coaster next to my computer where I can rest my glass of water or tea. LOVE it!!
Jennifer from The Pink Pagoda, one of my blog favorites, featured my etsy store yesterday. See the post here. Thanks Jennifer! You made my week!
Also, I'm obsessed with the box outlines I learned from Pugley Pixel's tutorial. Can you tell from my photos above? If you are a blogger and you don't know about Pugley Pixel go NOW. (you're welcome)
Have a good one!! xx
