Art to Outfit || Black and Red

I haven't done these in a while, an Art to Outfit post I mean.  I was especially inspired by this painting by Aleksandra Getsko (she has other fabulous works you can see here) as I was browsing Saatchi Online.  Have you browsed this site?  It's incredible!  I had seen some images pinned to pinterest but was always intimidated by it and assumed it was very expensive art, but it's not really.  It has a great mix of prices.  This piece for example is $700. Not sure why I was attracted to this piece so strongly.  I really like the simplicity of the lines and the composition, yet it reflects great strength, in my opinion.  I'm usually drawn to very organic abstract pieces but I'm really enjoying the structure and orderliness here.

With the painting in mind, I came across this too good for words Hermes lacquered cuff in a magazine.  Sculptural and vibrant, and what a pop of color it would give to any outfit.  So, then comes the coolest blazer you ever did see.  Have you heard of the brand Smythe (this is a whole other post), but they basically make the coolest and best fitting blazers on the planet (even Kate Middleton agrees).  And this one is too cute with its red lapel.  Add some ankle length skinny pants from Zara and these sexy shoes and you have a structurally perfect outfit yourself!  Oh and eye clutch...I haven't gotten over the eye trend (I blogged about it here).

The outfit sort of blends preppy with edgy...would you? could you?  How about the painting? yes? no?
