Ice Cream Cone Birthday Party
My baby turned eight last week and we had a fun celebration for her. What could be better than a pool party, a piñata and some sweet treats to celebrate? Each year I let her choose her theme and then we plan her small party together. I love that birthdays at this age are equally as exciting as Christmas. I especially enjoyed this party as I think it may be the last one where we have a piñata for her.
(In case you want to see her previous parties-swan party, kokeshi doll party) Let me give you the tour. Let's start with the cake-
Who wouldn't be happy with a huge piñata like this?! Thanks to Little Miss A's sweet grandparents who always have the piñatas custom made in Mexico for her. A birthday party in this home is only a real party when we have one of Unique Party's birthday cakes. If you are a regular reader then you know Paola is my go-to for beautiful and delicious cakes. If you live in Dallas I highly recommend her as she is so talented and wonderful to work with. The vanilla version with dulce de leche filling is my all-time favorite. I always look forward to indulging this one time a year in such sweet yumminess. Through Mackenzie's Instagram I learned about the Highland Park Pie Lady. She made the adorable ice cream shaped cookies. They were divine and so beautiful. Everyone loved them! Most of my party supplies were from my favorite one-stop chic party supply store Via Blossom. I got the cute ice cream honeycombs and ice cream cups from there. The table runner was cobbled out of some leftover fabric and pompoms I had laying around. The ice cream cone inflatables served as colorful decor for the pool as well as the perfect favor for the little girls to take home.
And voila! There you have a little taste of Little Miss A's magical world. I sure wish it lasts her a lifetime.
