Interiors || One Room Challenge Starts this week!
The One Room Challenge starts this week!! WOW!! You all know how much fun I have doing these challenges- not only do they force me to concentrate on and finish a room of my house, but they also offer such a great source of inspiration. The One Challenge participants have different styles, needs and budget so you see a wide array of fabulous finished rooms. It is so much fun to see the rooms evolve over six weeks. For those of you who don't know about the One Room Challenge (ORC for short) it is an interior design challenge created by Linda from Calling it Home. Interior designers, and blogger design enthusiasts make over a room in 6 short weeks and they report their progress on Wednesdays. The Wednesday participants are a set group of 20 bloggers chosen by Linda and the Thursday group are called "linkers". They can link-in, follow along and re-do a room as well. I will be a linker this time around doing my daughter's room. I want to show you my past projects and some of my favorites from other bloggers. The first one, photo above, is my walk-in closet. You can see more of it here. Be ready for a visual feast-
This here is my family room (what it looks like now), you can see how it all came together here. This was my first ORC. It feels like yesterday.
This is my mudroom. I did this little foyer last Spring as a linker. See more photos here.
This chic room was my A Piece of Toast.
You will recognize the mirror, it is the same I used in my mudroom (great minds!) and this one is by my sweet friend Sue from The Zhush.
These floors are to die for. Fabulous design by Bijou and Boheme.
Naomi's designs are always fabulous.
Such an elegant room by Kimberly Whitman. Love the green and black and white.
This colorful beauty knocked everyone's socks off. Those purples! It even caught House Beautiful's attention.
The Pink Pagoda re-did her daughter's hang-out room. I took the photos. Loved it!
Gaby from The Vault Files designed the prettiest gallery wall.
Stephanie Kraus has the best taste. This dining room is so pretty. I just love the contrasting colors of the drapes.
And this sexy bedroom by The Design Daredevil is dramatic and elegant. Complete showstopper.
I know after seeing all these wonderful rooms you will want to follow along for the next six weeks. You can get the updates on Wedsndays here and on Thursdays you can follow along my particular progress here on my blog. Can't wait!
