Setting a Special Thankgiving Table

As we prep for Thanksgiving tomorrow I wanted to share some tablescape ideas and some fun and easy tips to make your table even more special. Because with good company, a delicious meal, and good conversation a pretty table is essential.

In general, I love gold and bronze accents for a Fall tablescape. Candleholders with long tapered candles in moody colors in the same palette as the tablecloth and napkins really make a statement. You can can get these candles here in any color your little heart desires. Also, you can get some cute candle holders here and here.

A colorful and fall colored table cloth is another way to add excitement to your table. Any of these are beautiful.

Sometimes, a soft color palette paired with a minimalist look can also be beautiful. I love the pink candles paired with the white tablecloth and wooden bowls with seasonal fruit seen below.

Matching the flowers with ombre tapered candles is a brilliant idea.

When you can’t make up your mind blue and white works for any occasion. Love these plates.

Apples, apples!! They sure are festive! Combine them with some leaves from your yard and use them as place card holders.

The contrast of the orange napkins with the red pomegranates creates a dramatic and fall perfect table.

Use chalk board tags (or these) for a chic and practical place card. Also, black tapered candles add all the drama.

Adding fruits and veggies to your flower arrangement creates an organic and interesting look.

I hope these images and ideas inspired you to add variety to your thanksgiving table. It is as easy as stepping outside and taking advantage of all your yard has to offer (or maybe the veggie isle at your local market!)

What will you be making for tomorrow? These brussels sprouts will be on our menu and even though it is not a typical Thanksgiving dessert I will make my favorite flourless chocolate cake. I will find any excuse to offer it on the menu.

My deepest gratitude to you all, my readers. I appreciate each and everyone one of you. Wishing you a wonderful day with your loved ones. And remember take this opportunity to tell old family stories- reminisce, share lessons learned from your childhood, share hardships you overcame and/or achieved victories. The benefits to your young ones are plentiful. Happy Thanksgiving.
